FAQs
HOW DO I PREPARE FOR THIS TREATMENT?
Avoid electrolysis, waxing, depilatory creams and laser hair removal 3-5 days before treatment your treatment. Cease using retinoids, salicylic acid. Arrive at your appointment with a clean face. Avoid sun burns at least 1 week prior.
DOES IT HURT?
Patients may experience a slight sting or heat sensation as the treatment activates. Frosting is normal. A stinging and burning sensation can be felt during the treatment but it will not cause complete discomfort.
IS THERE ANY DOWNTIME?
Your face may become red due to erythema like a sunburn for 24 hours after treatment. In this time we recommend avoiding any sun exposure, using a gentle cleanser, no makeup and avoiding strenuous activity where you will be sweating for 24 hour post procedure. Peeling can occur for some individuals but not all (this is not an indication of the effectiveness of the treatment). Sloughing can start to occur at 48 hours post treatment and last 5-7 days post treatment.
WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?
Results are immediate after the skin has settles down from the peel reaction.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
Suggested frequency is 1 treatment every 4 weeks for 3-6 treatments.
HOW IS THE TREATMENT ADMINISTERED?
Patients face will be thoroughly washed and prepped with Vivier products. Product will be applied to face for 3-5 minutes with a fan brush and then rinsed. Vivier sunscreen will be applied for protection.
